
Mahkia L. Clark
Mahkia is a Montana native, raised in the Sweetgrass Hills in north-central Montana. Mahkia attended North Toole County High School in Sunburst, Montana, where she was co-valedictorian of the 2011 graduating class. Mahkia received a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism (with a minor in Vocal Performance) from the University of Montana in 2015. Mahkia then produced the 5:30 and 10:00 newscasts for KPAX-TV, a CBS affiliate news station in Missoula, Montana, for four years. Mahkia received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Missoula College (through the University of Montana) in November 2020 (and graduated cum laude). Prior to joining BJM Law, Mahkia interned at Milodragovich, Dale & Steinbrenner, P.C., and worked as a paralegal for Jenks & Simpson, P.C. Mahkia is a Certified Paralegal through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). Mahkia volunteers on a national level through her service on the NALA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. She currently serves as NALA Liaison of the Montana Association of Legal Assistants and is a member of the Paralegal Section of the State Bar of Montana and the Western Montana Estate Planning Council. Mahkia obtained her Master of Legal Studies degree with a Business Law concentration through Washington University in St. Louis in May of 2024. Her hobbies include singing, reading, and spending time in nature.
